88 units of mining equipment, Lagos → Niamey

A cross-border heavy-haul operation from the Lagos ports into the Republic of Niger.

The brief

A major mining project needed 88 units of equipment — much of it oversized — moved from the Lagos ports to Niamey, in landlocked Niger Republic. That meant port handling, out-of-gauge transport, permits and a land-border crossing, all coordinated as one seamless operation.

What we moved

The consignment included a 42.8-tonne ERSEL cylinder, mobile screening units and 33 out-of-gauge open-top and flat-rack containers — a demanding mix of heavy-lift and OOG cargo.

How we did it

JBV handled the cargo at the Apapa and Tin Can Island ports, arranged the right trailers and rigging for the oversized units, secured permits, and moved the shipment overland through the Kamba frontier border into Niger Republic and on to Niamey — safely and on schedule.
